About Us

Nevada United for Youth is a Nevada Non-Profit Corporation providing mentoring for at risk youth in Clark County, Nevada. The program will form partnerships with the Department of Family Services, the Juvenile Court System and Clark County School District. Nevada United for Youth's goal is to foster a commitment to young people that will promote pro-social relationships, strong interpersonal skills, and development of a sense of hope for the future, and empower youth to make positive changes in their lives.

Nevada United for Youth's programs are in response to a need for public and private partnerships to deliver services to more than 2700 children under the care of Department of Family Service. Mentors will work with elementary, middle and high school age youth. A one-year commitment is required for both the mentor and youth, during which time the two will participate in planned activities to strengthen the relationship between both. Mentors will receive training and support throughout the year, and will report on the progress of the youth on a regular basis. Over time, Nevada United for Youth will create lasting relationships that will be invaluable resources to young people in Clark County, mentors, and the community at large.
